Steph Curry Becomes GM

Steph Curry just became the first active player in major U.S. pro sports to take an administrative job with a college team!
The π accepted a role as assistant GM for both the men's and women's basketball programs at his alma mater, Davidson.
This isn't just a symbolic gesture - Steph's putting his money where his heart is. He and his wife Ayesha, along with some Davidson supporters, are launching an eight-figure fund (that's at least $10 million!) to support both basketball programs.
It's a full-circle moment for the guy who set the NCAA single-season 3-point record as a sophomore there before becoming the 7th pick in the 2009 draft.
Remember, Steph went back to Davidson in 2022 to actually finish his degree as part of the class of 2010, showing how much the school means to him. He'll be working with GM Austin Buntz, who has Under Armour connections just like Curry.
This follows a similar move by retired NFL QB Andrew Luck, who became GM at his alma mater Stanford last year.
The difference? Steph's still dropping 30 a night in the NBA while doing it! ππ
Josh Allen Just Got The Bag π°π°

Josh Allen just became one of the richest players in NFL history, landing a monstrous six-year, $330 million extension that keeps him in Buffalo through 2030.
The eye-popping numbers are wild - $55 million per year (second only to Dak Prescott's $60M) and $250 million guaranteed, which is the most EVER for an NFL player, surpassing Deshaun Watson's previous record of $230M.
This was a no-brainer for the Bills after Allen's MVP season where he led them to their fifth straight division title and another AFC Championship appearance. The dude made history as the first player ever with 25+ TD passes, 10+ rushing TDs, and fewer than 10 INTs in a season. Add in the fact that no QB in NFL history has more wins, total TDs, or total yards in their first seven seasons.
The one thing still missing from Allen's resume? A Super Bowl appearance.
Buffalo's going all-in on their core, also extending DE Gregory Rousseau, LB Terrell Bernard, and WR Khalil Shakir. The Bills Mafia can rest easy knowing their quarterback isn't going anywhere! π°π
Duke Gets #1

We've hit conference tourney week with a shakeup at the top! Duke has jumped to #1 in the AP Poll after Auburn's surprising stumble with back-to-back losses to close the regular season.
The Blue Devils (28-3) have been absolutely DOMINATING lately, winning eight straight by double digits, including a commanding 82-69 road win over rival North Carolina to complete the season sweep. Behind freshman phenom Cooper Flagg, they rolled through the ACC with just one conference loss (to Clemson) and had the nation's largest scoring margin at a ridiculous 22.1 points per game.
Auburn dropped to #3 despite their rough finish, with Houston climbing to #2. The SEC is flexing its muscles with SEVEN teams in the top 25, including Florida (#4) and Alabama (#5).
Auburn still has the inside track despite their recent struggles, but Duke could steal it if they dominate the ACC Tournament while Auburn stumbles early in Nashville.
The conference championship games kick off Saturday (Big 12, Big East, ACC) and continue Sunday (SEC, Big Ten) before the all-important Selection Sunday at 6pm ET. Get ready for the madness! π
DK Metcalf To The Steelers

DK Metcalf is headed to the Steelers in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick, and they're backing up the Brinks truck with a five-year, $150 million extension that includes $132 million in new money.
This trade came together FAST - it was just a few days ago that Metcalf requested out of Seattle, where he had apparently grown frustrated with taking a backseat to second-year receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN got 137 targets to DK's 108 last season, and Metcalf fell just short of a third straight 1,000-yard season (992).
But we have no idea who's throwing him the ball next year. Both Russell Wilson (who DK played with in Seattle) and Justin Fields are free agents, and neither exactly lit it up last season for the NFL's 27th-ranked passing attack. The Steelers could also pursue Sam Darnold or Aaron Rodgers.
As it currently stands, the Steelers have a 1-2 punch at receiver with Metcalf and George Pickens.
Meanwhile, Seattle is fully rebuilding after trading away both Geno Smith AND Metcalf within 24 hours.
And New #1 Team In NCAAW

We've got a NEW #1 team in NCAAW for the FIFTH time this season as UCLA leapfrogged to the top spot after knocking off rival USC in the Big Ten championship game.
It was an absolutely wild weekend of conference tournaments that completely reshuffled the deck at the top. South Carolina bounced back from their regular season stumble to dominate Texas 64-45 in the SEC title game, while UCLA took down previously #2 USC in what coach Cori Close called a confidence-building win.
Now all three coaches (South Carolina's Dawn Staley, USC's Lindsay Gottlieb, and UCLA's Cori Close) are making their case for the NCAA Tournament's overall #1 seed. Just to show how wild this season has been - South Carolina (3 weeks), UCLA (12), Notre Dame (1) and Texas (2) have ALL held the top spot at some point!
Some other big winners:
Duke's insane defense held FIVE straight opponents well below their scoring averages
Hailey Van Lith earned Big 12 tournament MVP while leading TCU to its first title
The Atlantic-10 might get THREE bids with George Mason, Richmond, and possibly Saint Joseph's
The falling teams include Notre Dame (likely out of #1 seed contention), Tennessee (lost 3 of 4), and Maryland (from national title contender to possibly not hosting).
Selection Sunday is coming (8pm ET on ESPN) - buckle up for the madness! π
