WNBA free agency is heating up in Miami!

The new Unrivaled 3x3 league has accidentally become the epicenter of dealmaking, with all the league's power players watching games and negotiating in the hallways!

Coaches and GMs from the Aces, Wings, Storm, Sparks, and Dream are all posted up at the arena, trying to sign free agents between games.

🏀 Mac Going For The Three-Peat

Mac McClung is trying to make history! The G League legend is going for his THIRD straight dunk contest win at All-Star weekend.

This dude went from unknown to dunk contest GOAT after that insane dunk over Shaq last year!

The rest of the field is looking pretty fresh:

  • Stephon Castle (Spurs rookie from UConn)

  • Matas Buzelis (Bulls rookie from G League)

  • Andre Jackson Jr. (Bucks guard, another UConn guy)

Still, no big NBA stars want in. Even Zion, who said he'd do it if he made the All-Star team, probably won't get the votes. Last year Jaylen Brown was the first actual All-Star to compete since 2017, and McClung still took him down!

The EPIC 2023 Super Bowl rematch is set! The Chiefs and Eagles are running it back from Super Bowl LVII, kicking off February 9th in New Orleans!

The storylines are WILD:

  • Chiefs going for the three-peat

  • Andy Reid ties Don Shula with his 6th Super Bowl appearance

  • Mahomes making his 5th Super Bowl in 6 years

  • Eagles bringing NFL's best defense and Saquon Barkley's 2,000-yard season

🏀 A New Basketball League On The Horizon

A group of investors is trying to raise $5 BILLION to create a new international basketball league and they've got LeBron's business partner Maverick Carter involved as an adviser!

Here's the wild plan:

  • 6 men's teams and 6 women's teams

  • Games played worldwide

  • Backed by multiple private equity funds

  • Looking to tap into sovereign wealth funds too

Even though Carter's involved (he produces LeBron's TV and movie projects), King James himself isn't part of it. Makes sense since he wants to own an NBA team once he's done playing.

This would be the first real threat to the NBA since the ABA in the '70s (remember when the NBA absorbed the Pacers, Nets, Nuggets, and Spurs?). It's giving similar vibes to what Unrivaled is doing for women's basketball, but this one's aiming WAY bigger!

$5 billion is serious money... could this actually shake up pro basketball? 🤔

🏀 Blockbuster WNBA Moves Are Happening

Here's how it breaks down:

  • Aces get: Loyd + 13th pick (averaging 24.7 points last year!)

  • Storm get: #2 pick in 2025 + Aces' 2026 first-rounder + Li Yueru

  • Sparks get: Plum + #9 pick + Storm's 2026 second-rounder

The drama behind it? Loyd wanted out of Seattle after accusing the coaching staff of harassment and bullying. She's still under contract for one more year.

Plum's move is interesting too. She's been killing it in Vegas, finishing third in MVP voting in 2022 with 20.2 points per game.

Deal can't be official until Feb 1, but one thing is clear - the Aces aren't playing around after missing the three-peat last year! 👀
