🏈 Bosa Is On The Market

Damn, Joey Bosa is officially a free agent! The Chargers just made it official today, ending his 8-year run in powder blue after selecting him 3rd overall back in 2016.
This move was 100% about the money - cutting Bosa saves them a massive $25.36 million in cap space. Despite battling injuries the past few seasons (only 28 games played in the last three years), he still managed to make his fifth Pro Bowl last season as an alternate.
The most intriguing possibility? Joey potentially joining his brother Nick in San Francisco, which would give the 49ers arguably the most terrifying pass rush duo in the NFL.
Bosa leaves L.A. with 72 career sacks, second in Chargers history behind only Leslie O'Neal. Another big-name veteran hits the market as teams prepare for this coming season.
🏈 DK Metcalf Wants Out

DK Metcalf wants out of Seattle, and GM John Schneider is already fielding calls from "a ton of teams" about the star receiver. The Seahawks are clearly taking this seriously but aren't rushing to ship him off without getting proper value in return.
Schneider made it crystal clear on Seattle Sports radio: "Our responsibility to Jody Allen, the 12s, first and foremost is doing what's absolutely best for the organization." Translation: They'll trade DK to whoever offers the most, not necessarily where he wants to go.
Despite having one year and $18 million left on his deal, the Seahawks and Metcalf haven't been able to agree on an extension. The Raiders are among the interested teams, and Schneider mentioned they want to resolve this before the draft.
His message to fans? "Worst-case scenario, we have an amazing, explosive, powerful athlete playing receiver for us again in 2025."
🏀 Trey Hendrickson Is Testing The Market

Speaking of Bosa from earlier… Another big-time pass rusher is hitting the trade market!
Trey Hendrickson just got permission from the Bengals to seek a trade after leading the ENTIRE NFL with 17.5 sacks last season. This comes after making his fourth straight Pro Bowl and being named first-team All-Pro.
The 30-year-old is clearly watching the market explode around him. Just yesterday, Maxx Crosby reset the market for non-QBs with his $35.5 million per year extension with the Raiders. Meanwhile, Hendrickson's current deal only pays him $15.8 million next season, ranking him 11th among edge rushers despite being one of the most productive in the league.
Since joining Cincinnati in 2021, the dude has been a monster - 57 sacks in that span, trailing only division rivals Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt. Over the last TWO seasons? His 35 sacks lead the NFL by a wide margin.
The Bengals have other big financial decisions to make with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins also seeking new deals. Something had to give.
🏀 Cavs Clinch First Playoff Spot

First playoff team of the season?
Cleveland took down a banged-up Heat squad 112-107 last night to become the first team officially in the postseason.
This Cavaliers team is something special. At 52-10, they've got the NBA's best record, and they've had THREE separate 12-game win streaks this season. Only the 2006-07 Mavs have ever pulled that off before.
Donovan Mitchell led the way with 26 points, but had the perfect reaction afterward: "It's great to be in the playoffs. When we started this and I came here and re-signed, the playoffs weren't the goal... This is just another step on our journey." That's championship mentality right there!
The win didn't come easy though - Miami was up 107-106 with under three minutes left before Cleveland closed on a 6-0 run. The Heat nearly forced OT when Duncan Robinson hit what looked like a game-tying three with 17 seconds left, but he stepped out of bounds. Tough break for Bam Adebayo, who dropped a season-high 34 points in the loss.
Cleveland set their sights on much bigger goals than just making the playoffs.
Stephen A. Smith, The $100M Man

ESPN's loudest voice just inked a massive new five-year, $100 million contract, cementing his status as one of the highest-paid figures in sports media.
That's $20 million per year to yell "BLASPHEMOUS!" and tell us how he's "VERY CLOSE PERSONAL FRIENDS" with every NBA superstar.
What's interesting is that while he'll keep his role on "First Take" (the morning debate show he basically built), he's reportedly stepping back from the NBA pregame show next season and scaling back other ESPN appearances. This frees him up for more non-ESPN opportunities and lets him expand beyond sports - he's already been all over Fox News talking politics.
Speaking of which, there's been some wild speculation about Smith potentially running for president in 2028! When Jimmy Fallon brought it up on "The Tonight Show" yesterday, Stephen A. played it cool: "I'm saying, wait a minute now, I don't want to do this. But the fact that they're talking about me this way, I must say, I approve this message."
Not bad for someone who just gives his "hot takes" for a living! 🔥💰
