🐯 Rough News For Tiger

Another setback for Tiger. The 15-time major champion announced he ruptured his left Achilles tendon while training at home and underwent surgery on Tuesday.

Woods hasn't competed in a PGA Tour event this season after withdrawing from the Genesis following his mother's death in February. Now he'll definitely miss the Masters next month at Augusta, where he's a five-time champion.

The surgery was described as "minimally invasive" by Dr. Charlton Stucken, who expects a "full recovery," but no timeline was given for Tiger's return. He's already back home in Jupiter focusing on rehab.

Tiger is 49 with a body that's already been through hell, including FIVE back surgeries and that horrific 2021 car crash that nearly cost him his right leg. He's also had Achilles issues before, tearing his right one in 2008 and reaggravating it in 2009.

For perspective on recovery, 67-year-old Bernhard Langer tore his Achilles playing pickleball last February but returned to Champions Tour golf three months later (using a cart) and even won a tournament in November. But Woods has always insisted on walking tournaments.πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

🏈 Bosa Finds A New Home

Bills Mafia stand up! You guys just got a good one.

The Bills just landed five-time Pro Bowl DE Joey Bosa on a one-year, $12.6 million deal - essentially replacing Von Miller (who they cut Sunday) with a younger, still-elite pass rusher.

This is a perfect low-risk, high-reward move for Buffalo. While Bosa has battled injuries recently (playing just 28 games over the past three seasons), he still made the Pro Bowl last year and has 72 career sacks. At just 30 years old when the season starts, he's got plenty left in the tank when healthy.

The Bills desperately needed to address their pass rush after watching their sack total drop from 54 to 39 last season, which was especially glaring in that AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs.

Buffalo's been BUSY this offseason - they extended Josh Allen with that record $250 million guaranteed, locked up WR Khalil Shakir and LB Terrel Bernard, signed WR Joshua Palmer, and restructured DT Ed Oliver's deal.

They're reloading for another AFC title run! 🏈

πŸ€ Wild Ending In Pacers-Bucks Game

Holy crap, Tyrese Haliburton just delivered one of the most insane game-winners of the season! The Pacers guard hit a four-point play with 3.4 seconds left to stun the Bucks 115-114.

Down three in the final seconds, Haliburton took what he called "a football play" - a handoff-style inbound pass along the left sideline, then somehow elevated over GIANNIS of all people, faded out of bounds, and drilled the three while getting fouled. Ice in his veins, he calmly sank the free throw to complete the comeback.

What makes this even more special? Reggie Miller - the king of clutch Pacers shots - was in the building calling the game for TNT.

Haliburton had missed the previous three games with a hip injury (all Pacers losses), but returned just in time to help Indiana pull even with Milwaukee for fourth place in the East. As Pascal Siakam said about the impossible angle: "Over Giannis... I don't think he can even see over him." πŸ”₯πŸ€

πŸ€ 15 Straight For The Cavs

The Cavs are on an absolutely HISTORIC run right now - they just matched their own franchise record with 15 straight wins... which is even crazier because they already set that record EARLIER THIS SEASON with a 15-0 start!

At 55-10, Cleveland is tied for the fifth-best start in NBA HISTORY. Let that sink in. And the most impressive part of last night's win over Brooklyn? They did it without Donovan Mitchell, De'Andre Hunter, and Ty Jerome, coming back from 18 points down in the second half!

The Cavs have already clinched the Central Division, but with an 8-game lead over Boston in the East and a 2-game edge on OKC for the league's best record, home court advantage throughout the playoffs looks likely. And at Rocket Arena, they're a ridiculous 30-4. πŸ”₯πŸ€

🏈 The Comeback Kid Gets Paid

Sam Darnold just landed a shocking three-year, $100.5 million deal with the Seahawks with $55 million guaranteed. Talk about the ultimate career comeback!

This is the SAME Sam Darnold who was practically left for dead after washing out with the Jets and Panthers. Just last year, he was signing a one-year "prove it" deal with Minnesota as a backup plan. Then he pulls off a remarkable turnaround, going 14-5 as a starter with career-best numbers (4,319 yards, 35 TDs), only to completely fall apart in the games that mattered most - Week 18 vs. Detroit and the playoff loss to the Rams.

He's literally replacing Geno Smith AGAIN. First, Darnold was drafted by the Jets to be their franchise QB after Smith failed in that role. Now, he's stepping in after Seattle traded Smith to Vegas for a third-rounder. According to reports, Smith actually turned down a similar contract to what Darnold just got!

Seattle's in total rebuild mode - they've already traded away DK Metcalf and released Tyler Lockett. But Darnold does get to reunite with OC Klint Kubiak, who was his passing game coordinator in San Francisco.

As for the Vikings? Looks like they're all-in on rookie J.J. McCarthy.
