Bill Belichick's UNC contract is finally official, here are the numbers!
The six-time Super Bowl champ is getting $10M per year through 2029, putting him in the top 10 of highest-paid college coaches.
Thatās not all. Check out these bonuses:
$750K for making the CFP
$1.75M for winning the natty
$250K for finishing in the top 25
Even gets $350K for making bowls like the Pop-Tarts or Mayo Bowl!
If he leaves before June 1 that $10M paycheck drops to just $1M after. But Belichick says he "didn't come to Chapel Hill to leave," even with NFL teams supposedly knocking on his door.
If UNC fires him without cause before 2027, they gotta pay him EVERYTHING that's left. Smart negotiating from the GOAT!
š Thereās No Coming Back For Jimmy Butler
Things are getting UGLY between Jimmy Butler and the Heat.
The star just got hit with his second suspension this month - two games for skipping the team flight to Milwaukee, right after serving a seven-game suspension for "conduct detrimental to the team."
This isn't even the first time Butler's ditched the team travel plans. Even though he told them he'd get to Milwaukee on his own, the Heat clearly aren't playing around anymore with their "no tolerance policy."
After all this drama, who's gonna want to trade for him? Butler's an amazing player, but this messy exit from Miami (after similar situations in Minnesota and Philly) might make teams think twice.
Coach Prime Getting Served Violations
Coach Prime got into some minor NCAA trouble, but it's kinda funny.
He mentioned his star QB recruit's name too early! Colorado had to self-report two violations after Deion Sanders talked about five-star QB Julian Lewis on his coaches show before Lewis officially signed.
The violations:
Sanders shared a recruiting story about "JuJu" (Lewis's nickname)
The show host mentioned Lewis's name in a question
Colorado's punishment is pretty light:
Lost 4 days of spring recruiting

No more live-streaming Coach Prime's show
But they still got their guy - Lewis is ranked #10 nationally and the #3 pro-style QB in 2025. He'll likely take over in 2026 after Kaidon Salter (Liberty transfer) plays in 2025.
Oh, and for anyone wondering about those Cowboys rumors - looks like Prime's staying in Boulder.

The MVP race is a tough one:
Josh Allen (Bills) vs Lamar Jackson (Ravens) leading the pack
Jackson had 45 total TDs
Saquon Barkley made the cut after his 2,000-yard season
Other interesting finalists:
DPOY: Trey Hendrickson led the NFL with 17.5 sacks
OROY: Jayden Daniels (Commanders) is the obvious favorite after taking the Commanders to the playoffs
COTY: Dan Campbell (15-2 Lions) vs Kevin O'Connell (14-3 Vikings)
Both Lions coordinators (Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn) are up for Assistant Coach of the Year, but they've already taken new head coaching jobs with the Bears and Jets.
And Joe Burrow's in the mix for both MVP and Comeback Player after bouncing back from missing 7 games in 2023.
Awards will be announced Feb. 6 in New Orleans during Super Bowl week.
Pete Carroll To Coach The Raiders
The 72-year-old coaching legend just signed a 3-year deal (with a 4th-year option) to lead the Raiders. He joins Bill Parcells and Marty Schottenheimer as the only coaches to be permanent head coach for four different NFL teams.
Carroll's resume is no joke:

Interesting that he's heading to Vegas after earlier stints with the Jets and Patriots didn't work out. But he turned things around big time in Seattle, so Raiders fans have to be excited about what he might build there.
