⚾ Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2025

The Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is decided! And we've got a STACKED lineup: Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner are all heading to Cooperstown.

Ichiro nearly made history by being just the second unanimous selection ever (missed by ONE vote!). He's also Japan's first Hall of Famer, which is wild considering his insane career. Dude had 200+ singles TWICE (first time that's happened in 126 years!), racked up 3,089 MLB hits, and won both Rookie of the Year AND MVP in his first season!

CC Sabathia's getting in on his first try after a legendary 19-year career. The big man struck out 3,093 batters, won a Cy Young, and helped the Yankees snag a World Series in '09.

And shoutout to Billy Wagner, who FINALLY made it in his last year on the ballot! The lefty closer's got the second-lowest ERA (2.31) for pitchers with 900+ innings.

🏈 The Bears Hire Division Rival’s OC As New Head Coach

This dude's been absolutely crushing it in Detroit - his offense was putting up video game numbers. Check out what Johnson did with the Lions:

  • #1 scoring offense in the NFL (33.2 points per game)

  • Scored 40+ points SIX times (tied NFL record)

  • Turned Jared Goff into a beast (most passing yards and TDs since 2022)

  • Lions went 15-2 in regular season

Now he's heading to Chicago with the #1 pick Caleb Williams as his QB. Bears fans gotta be hyped.

Johnson's only 38 but he's already got a reputation as one of the most innovative offensive minds in the game.

Detroit lost to Washington in the playoffs on Saturday, and Johnson had a new job by Monday! Talk about a quick turnaround.

Lions fans are probably sick watching their offensive genius head to a division rival, but that's what happens when you build one of the most explosive offenses in recent NFL history.

The TGL’s First Shutout

In this week’s TGL headline…

The Atlanta Drive absolutely SMOKED New York in a 4-0 shutout, the first in league history! Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, and Billy Horschel were straight up bullies out there.

For a league that's supposed to be all about entertainment, it was pretty tame. They never even used the "hammer" (their special power play thing) and the golf balls are landing softer than pillows on these virtual courses.

Three things need to change ASAP:

  • Make teams actually use the hammer! Fans want chaos!

  • Speed up those virtual greens! Let's see some balls bouncing around like a pinball machine

  • Less commentary, more player banter! JT and Horschel were bringing the heat, but we kept getting cut off for unnecessary course reports

But cut the TGL some slack, it’s their first year.
