Savvy Investors Know Where to Get Their News—Do You?
Here’s the truth: there is no magic formula when it comes to building wealth.
Much of the mainstream financial media is designed to drive traffic, not good decision-making. Whether it’s disingenuous headlines or relentless scare tactics used to generate clicks, modern business news was not built to serve individual investors.
Luckily, we have The Daily Upside. Created by Wall Street insiders and bankers, this fresh, insightful newsletter delivers valuable insights that go beyond the headlines.

USC has officially broken ground on their brand new 3-floor performance center.
Touting 1,344 square feet of space per player, a new locker room, naturally lit weight rooms, hydrotherapy spa zone, player lounges, and a skyline terrace – you would think this is a health club for socialites.
Nope, it’s just the new football facility for student-athletes of USC. Set to open in the summer of 2026.
You can check out a 3D rendering of this epic building here.
The Rays’ New $1.3B Stadium In St. Pete 👀
2024 is the year of building new facilities. The Tampa Bay Rays are ready to start a new chapter in downtown St. Petersburg.
Their newly unveiled $1.3 billion stadium, dubbed "the Pavilion," is set to become MLB's most intimate ballpark with a capacity of 30,000. Tropicana Field (the current stadium) has a capacity of 45,000. So the Rays are going for quality over quantity.
The design features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, MLB's only fixed roof, and thoughtfully designed "neighborhoods" of seating that bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Literally.
You won’t be seeing any empty seats when you tune into any Rays games in the 2028 season. And yes, the Ray Tank is making the move to the new digs.
Construction starts in early 2025, with opening day planned for the 2028 season.
Sports And Female Leaders
What do little league softball and running a Fortune 500 company have in common?
A study from the Women's Sports Foundation just dropped some fascinating insights about how youth sports shape future leaders. They talked to folks aged 20 to 80, and nearly half said those early days of playing sports helped them climb the leadership ladder – whether they ended up running boardrooms or leading community projects.
Here's the cool part, you don’t need to be the Caitlin Clark of your team. A solid 67% of women say they're still using lessons from their playing days. Important life lessons like bouncing back from mistakes, working as a team, and keeping cool under pressure.
WSF's CEO Danette Leighton says, "When you know how to fail, you know how to win."
Despite Title IX being around for 52 years, girls still have a million fewer chances to play high school sports than boys. Sports isn't just about creating athletes – it's about building tomorrow's leaders.
Sports Nutrition Market To Hit $25.8 Billion By 2032 💰💰
Check the shelves of your local GNC or Walmart and you’ll find hundreds of different brands. This space is competitive but it’s growing fast.
The global market for sports nutrition is sprinting toward $25.80 billion by 2032, up from $16.92 billion in 2023. What's driving this surge?
You. And everyone else who hits the gym. Not just athletes. Fitness enthusiasts make up a whopping 39.2% of the market.
Protein powders are still king, claiming nearly 25% of the action in product sales. But Post-workout nutrition is the category king, making up 60.8% of sales. Brands are taking notice too, with industry giants Abbott Laboratories leading the pack and controlling 16.5% of the market.
North America remains the heavyweight champ of sports nutrition, but keep an eye on the Asia-Pacific region with revenues pushing past $3.6 billion. With over 12,000 new products launched in 2023 alone, it's clear this market isn't just growing – it's transforming.
New Yorkers Are Whooping Sportsbooks 👊
October saw New Yorkers wager a staggering $2.32 billion – the highest monthly total ever recorded in U.S. history. That's a 14.9% jump from last year.
And guess what? Sportsbooks actually made less money. Revenue dropped to $176.3 million, down 13.9% from September. Why? Sports fans are smacking these bets and parlays, especially with the NFL. At one point, sportsbooks barely held onto 2% of wagers.
FanDuel continues its reign, raking in $77.3 million from nearly $908 million in bets. DraftKings held strong in second, while newcomer Fanatics climbed to third place. Meanwhile, ESPN Bet's New York debut showed modest results, landing in seventh place.
The state's tax collectors felt the pinch too – October's betting taxes fell to $89.9 million, down from September's $104.4 million. Early November numbers suggest this trend of high betting volume but lower revenues isn't going anywhere soon.
